  Wonderful temple to visit. Unbelievable they built something even similar to that from a swamp and considering their homes etc. just amazing

  After driving through many small Illinois farm towns, seeing this gigantic and stunningly beautiful building was a complete shock! Like all Mormon temples, it is beautifully maintained and non-Mormons are not allowed in. Still, it is well worth walking around the grounds and talking to the locals.

  If you know the history of the Mormon church this is an absolutely great place to visit. If you don't know the history it's a great place to learn about the history. I would highly recommend this site and would go back there anytime I was passing by.

  This was a beautiful temple. There was a special feeling being in this temple with my wife and 2 older children. What an awesome feeling to be there with your family in a place that seals family for time and all eternity. What a beautiful view at dusk.
  
  There are a lot of hotels and motels inside of Nauvoo but during the summer pageant, all these places are booked so you'll need to book early and plan ahead. We stayed in a hotel in Iowa which was quite a far drive but after the 2nd day, we lucked out and were able to get a hotel in Nauvoo.
  
  Lots of eateries and places to stay. We were there for 4 days and we got to see the pageant and do all the activities. Nauvoo is an awesome place to visit and a great spirit radiates from this place.
